Maxwell’s Demon Doesn’t Rule the Roost
In dig’tal realms—where ones and zeros reign
Supreme—lost broadcasts, noise, and static rule
The day. A signal dropped is re-obtained
To re-compute a message misconstrued.
Our digital machines precisely stream
ACKnowledgement of messages exchanged—
Small quantum information packets themed
To ‘Yes’ or ‘No.’ But human speech—constrained
By words alone—has no such in-built mode
For validating truth and falsity.
Instead, we string together words imbued
With shades of gray and ambiguity.
Since Maxwell’s Demon doesn’t rule the roost,
We need to speak with more unspoken truths.
